Prediction Friday: Bengals-Ravens, potential O's pitchers

This is our last Prediction Friday of the NFL regular season. Try not to get weepy on me.

Last week, most of us were a little too aggressive on how badly the Ravens would beat the Cleveland Browns. Ultimately, the Ravens won, 20-14, to go 8-0 at home this season. We didn't have anyone exceptionally close, but the free bar tab goes to Sizemo, who predicted a 25-10 Ravens' win.

Now they must do it again in Cincinnati against a Bengals' squad that is playing for its life.

I know the Ravens have been mediocre on the road, that the Bengals will be charged up and that they are much better than we initially believed.

I still don't see the Ravens blowing this one, not with a home playoff game at stake. I'm saying 24-14 Ravens. Joe Flacco hits Ed Dickson for two TDs, and we'll give the tight end the player of the game award.

Now it is your turn. Give me the score, winner and hero of the game.

Switching to the Orioles, things have been pretty quiet this week. But I've been told they are still pursuing pitchers – I am going to predict they grab another starter and a reliever – before they are done.

So I'll give you that foundation. Now fill it in. Who will those two pitchers be? A lot of people want one to be Edwin Jackson, but I think they ultimately are outbid for his services.

Joe Saunders and Chen Wei-yin are free-agent names to throw out there. Plus, there are some guys potentially available through trade such as Atlanta's Jair Jurrjens.

The reliever pool is fairly deep but anonymous. I don't think the Orioles go for another free-agent closer (they've done that two years in a row and it hasn't worked out). So your guess is as good as mine.
