Wada's 30-day rehab assignment is scheduled to end Saturday. The Orioles will likely activate him from the disabled list and option him to Norfolk, where he will continue his comeback attempt from surgery.
Outfielder Chris Dickerson, who jumpstarted environmental friendly initiatives in a previous major league stop with the Cincinnati Reds, teamed up with healthy living company Veritey to distribute 40 reusable 2.2-liter water bottles to his teammates and the Orioles coaching staff. Each bottle was labeled with the player's name.
Dickerson said he did the same thing with the Reds, and he has done it with high schools and universities as well. He hopes the next step is to install a filling station in the clubhouse to increase the convenience of using the bottles.
"A lot of the guys are fired up," Dickerson said. "This is all the water they'll need for the day, and it's portable. The guys that hunt are real fired up about it."
