Four days after the anticipated Manny Machado garden gnome giveaway Saturday at Camden Yards, the Orioles announced another promotion — Chris Davis' action figure, superhero Crush Davis, and his bulldog, Samson.
The two bobbleheads sit on the same wooden platform on this giveaway. Crush is modeled after Superman, but with an Orioles' "O" inside a home plate shape on the chest. Samson wears a matching orange cape.
The first 20,000 fans age 15 and over will get this giveaway at the Aug. 20 game against the Houston Astros. The same day, the Orioles will begin selling their annual pet calendar, with profits going to the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter.
The Orioles released the original Crush Davis action figure in 2014. There will be another bobblehead giveaway Sept. 17 before the game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
