Orioles look to get series win in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO — The Orioles look to rebound from yesterday's 3-2 loss to the Giants in this afternoon's series finale in San Francisco.

Bud Norris will make his third start in an Orioles uniform. He's won both of his previous starts, allowing just three earned runs over 12 innings.

Norris is also fifth in the American League with a .188 opponents batting average with runners in scoring position since June 1.

The Orioles are looking for their 22nd series win of the season and their 10th on the road of 2013.

-- Catcher Matt Wieters, who leads the majors in innings caught with 855 1/3, has received three days off this week (two off days and one day out of the lineup Saturday). With the Orioles finishing the season with 33 games in 34 days, Showalter wants to give Wieters rest while he can in preparation for a grueling stretch run.

-- Wilson Betemit, recovering from a Grade 2/3 PCL sprain, will report to Class-A Frederick on Monday to continue his minor league rehab assignment. He was 6-for-16 with two doubles with the Gulf Coast League Orioles.

--  Lew Ford, who missed most of the season with sports hernia surgery, will report to Double-A Bowie on Tuesday.
