Pre-game notes: Orioles vs. Blue Jays

TORONTO — The Orioles are going for their first sweep of the Blue Jays in Toronto since 2005 in today's series finale here at the Rogers Centre.

The roof here is closed again because of some morning showers outside.

Left-hander Brian Matusz will try to snap out of his struggles against the Blue Jays. In three starts against Toronto, Matusz is 0-2 with a 18.56 ERA and he hasn't gotten out of the third inning in any of those appearances -- even though he was forced from one of those outings after being hit by a line drive in the second inning.

Also, today is the annual Jackie Robinson Day, celebrating his major league debut with the Dodgers. So all Orioles players will wear Robinson's retired No. 42.

On today's getaway day, Ryan Flaherty will make his first big league start, playing second base. Robert Andino will slide over to short to give J.J. Hardy a day off. Matt Wieters also gets his first day off of the season. Ronny Paulino will start at catcher for him. Endy Chavez gets the start in left. Mark Reynolds is under the weather and isn't starting, but manager Buck Showalter said he'd be available late in the game.
