Orioles pregame notes on Stinson, Burnett, Bundy, Johnson and starting lineups

Right-hander Josh Stinson will be making his Orioles debut and his second major league start this afternoon against the Blue Jays.

The 25-year-old Stinson arrived in Baltimore yesterday andwas officially recalled from Triple-A Norfolk before today's game. The club also optioned right-handed reliever Alex Burnett, who was here for two games to provide bullpen depth, back to Norfolk. Burnett will be available to pitch for the Tides on Thursday.

The Orioles will go for their first series sweep of the season. After winning the first two games of the series, they've won nine of their past 11 games here at Camden Yards.

The O's have won five of their last six games and are 9-4 wins April 10, the best record in the American League in that span.

Some other items of note:

-- Orioles manager Buck Showalter said he doesn't expect an update today on Dylan Bundy's visit to Dr. James Andrews for a second opinion on right arm tightness that's been ailing the top prospect since last month.

-- Right-hander Steve Johnson is starting in this afternoon's game for Norfolk. He's slated to go five innings. So far, Johnson had allowed four runs on six hits over 4 innings, striking out two and walking one. He's pitching against former Orioles pitcher Jason Berken in Charlotte.

-- For the year, the Orioles are third in the AL in fielding (.990) and since April 14, they are first in the AL (.997). The Orioles haven't committed an error in 10 games, their last error coming on Adam Jones' dropped fly ball in New York on April 12.
