Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Yovani Gallardo (13-11, 3.42 ERA in 2015) vs. Twins RHP Kyle Gibson (11-11, 3.84 ERA in 2015)

What to watch

1. Yovani Gallardo. The veteran right-hander makes his first start for the Orioles after signing a two-year, $22 million contract with them early in spring training. Gallardo, 30, had a rough spring, but was brilliant in his exhibition finale, allowing one hit in five scoreless innings. Will that carry over to his Orioles debut?

2. Power up. The Orioles won without a homer from their slugger-filled lineup Monday. Will they be able to overcome the cooler temperatures and begin clearing the fence tonight?

3. Jo-ey, Jo-ey. Rule 5 outfielder Joey Rickard had quite a debut, with two hits to potentially become an early fan favorite. Will he continue to show the tools that earned him the starting job in left field?
