What to watch

1. All aboard the struggle bus. Many Orioles are struggling, and first baseman Chris Davis is chief among them. On May 12, the slugger had nine homers and 25 RBIs in 33 games. In 17 games since, he's batting .164/.292/.279 with one homer, three RBIs and 28 strikeouts in 61 at-bats. Can Davis begin to emerge from his slump against struggling Red Sox right-hander Joe Kelly?

2. Wright turn. Mike Wright takes the mound tonight having allowed three earned runs or fewer in each of his past three starts for a 3.71 ERA during that time. However, Wright's starts have been progressively shorter over that stretch, from seven innings to 5 1/3 to 4 2/3. Can the Orioles righty remain effective and get deeper in the game?

3. Hold serve. After dropping the first two games of this key four-game series against the Red Sox, the Orioles have fallen three games out of first place in the American League East. They still have a chance to end the series in the same position they started, however, if they can swipe the next two from the division leaders. Following seven losses in nine games, will the Orioles begin to turn things around tonight against the Red Sox?
