What to watch

1. Manny mania. Manny Machado has opened his season with a 12-game hitting streak, during which he is leading the American League with a .392 batting average with teammate Mark Trumbo in second at .383. Can Machado make it a lucky 13 straight to start 2016?

2. First slumps are the deepest. Since starting the season with seven straight wins, the Orioles have lost four of five games, allowing at least four runs in each defeat and averaging just four runs scored per loss. Can the Birds right themselves against the Blue Jays?

3. Ubaldo version 1. While the Orioles lineup will be trying not to buckle against knuckleballer R.A. Dickey, the Birds will have Ubaldo Jimenez on the mound. Jimenez still has the best start by an Orioles pitcher this season. Can he regain the control that allowed him to toss his season-opening gem and come through as the Orioles' stopper?
