What to watch
1. Shake it up: With the Orioles having scored just three runs over their past two games to resume their offensive slump, manager Buck Showalter shook up his lineup Tuesday. Chris Davis moved down to sixth for the second time in five games. J.J. Hardy moved up to second for the first time since 2014. Jonathan Schoop is batting fifth for the first time since July 19. Matt Wieters is serving as the designated hitter for just the second time this season, and first since April 11. Will the altered batting order lead to better results?
2. Looking for quality: Yovani Gallardo has two quality starts in his past three outings, but the middle start was one of his worst of the season. His most recent one was part of a full turn through the rotation where every starter completed a quality start, a streak which is up to five after Wade Miley's solid outing Tuesday. Can Gallardo keep the streak going in Oakland?
3. Simply fine: Many of his teammates might be struggling, but Adam Jones is doing just fine. He's batting .500/.500/.682 with hits in each of his past five games, elevating his season average to .276 -- its highest point this season. Will he keep it going to help fuel the offense?
