First pitch: 7:05 p.m.

TV/Radio: MASN/105.7 The Fan

Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Kevin Gausman (0-2, 3.24 ERA) vs. Red Sox LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (NR)

What to watch

1. Former fellow farmhands. Kevin Gausman and Eduardo Rodriguez were once two of the top pitching prospects in the Orioles organization. Tonight, the two go head-to-head in a key matchup between division rivals. Gausman has a 3.24 ERA in seven starts this season while Rodriguez, who the Orioles sent to the Red Sox for Andrew Miller in 2014, makes his season debut. Will Rodriguez possess his 2015 form in his return from a knee injury?

2. Still No. 1. Adam Jones is 0-for-6 over his past two games, but he remains the Orioles' leadoff hitter tonight against Boston. It marks Jones' fifth straight game batting first, and he's batting .286/.333/.357 with two walks and three RBIs so far atop the order. Jones had hit .081/.128/.081 with two walks in his previous nine games. Can the All-Star center fielder continue to make progress out of the leadoff spot?

3. Outfield shuffle. Joey Rickard starts tonight with Hyun Soo Kim back on the bench. Rickard had gotten on the field in each of the Orioles' 48 games this season before getting the whole day off Monday, and has started just twice since May 24. Kim had started six straight games for the first time after starting eight times in the Orioles' first 43 games. Kim has done well as a starter, batting .333/.440/.571 with two doubles, a homer and three walks over the past six games (but is 2-for-14 over his past four). Will Rickard start to hit more with more rest or will Kim slide back in after tonight?
