What to watch

1. Mound matinee. It's a marquee matchup in this afternoon's rubber game with the Orioles sending out the man they hope will round into their ace (Kevin Gausman) against the one the Yankees are thrilled seems to have turned back the clock (CC Sabathia). The 35-year-old Sabathia has had a strong year, allowed three runs or fewer in each of his eight starts and posting a 1.04 ERA over his past four outings. Gausman will be looking to get himself on track after going 0-2 with a 5.56 ERA over his past four starts. Will youth get the best of experience today?

2. Power display. Since going three games without a homer, the Orioles have hit 11 over their past three games. They hit three in the seventh inning Saturday to stage a comeback that fell just short. Will they be able to keep hitting the ball a long way against the Yankees?

3. Simply Adam. Since his average slipped to .228 on May 30, Adam Jones has hits in five straight games and is batting .348 with a double, three homers and seven RBIs. Is Jones finally starting to find consistency at the plate?
