Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Kevin Gausman (1-1, 7.23 ERA) vs. Red Sox LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (0-1, 4.76 ERA)

What to watch

1. Bring out the broom? The Orioles are off to the best start in baseball and have a shot to complete their first three-game sweep of the season. With four straight wins, the Orioles have built their American League East lead to 1 1/2 games over the New York Yankees and three games over the Red Sox. Not too shabby.

2. Eyes on Gausman. Coming off one of the worst games of his career, it will be worth watching to see if Kevin Gausman looks more like he did two starts ago than he did Tuesday against the Cincinnati Reds. He allowed eight runs in 2 2/3 innings to nearly double his ERA to 7.23.

3. Trumbo turning it up. Mark Trumbo has quietly begun to heat up, putting together a five-game hitting streak (.400/.429/.500) before he went 0-for-3 Saturday. He still reached base and has quickly elevated his average from .179 on April 15 to a more respectable .242. Can he keep it going today?
