Orioles on deck: What to watch Sunday at Yankees

Orioles (31-29) vs. Yankees (36-23)

Where: Yankee Stadium

First pitch: 1:05 p.m.

TV/Radio: MASN, WJZ/105.7 FM

Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Kevin Gausman (3-4, 5.86 ERA) vs. Yankees RHP Chad Green (0-0, 1.62 ERA)

Orioles right-hander Chris Tillman hasn’t been the same since returning from the disabled list this season, and in some ways since shoulder issues first crept

What to watch

1. Rear-view mirror. How will the Orioles respond to their worst loss of the season? They allowed 18 hits, including five homers, in a 16-3 defeat Saturday. It was the most runs the Orioles have allowed since 2012. Will there be a hangover or will there be some urgency to get on track after being outscored 30-6 during a three-game skid?

2. Fresh arms up. The Orioles on Sunday recalled RHP Logan Verrett and RHP Jimmy Yacabonis (pronounced YACK-ah-bone-iss) from Triple-A Norfolk. His first appearance with the Orioles will be his Major League debut. He will wear No. 54. To make room, the team sent RHP Stefan Crichton to Norfolk and designated RHP Edwin Jackson for assignment.

3. Power coming. The Orioles didn't have a hit until the fifth inning Saturday, but still managed to hit two more homers to give them 17 in June. Chris Davis and Joey Rickard homered Saturday. On a hot day, will the Orioles be able to keep the long balls coming in homer-friendly Yankee Stadium?
