1. Bundy's best needed. This is certainly a good day for Dylan Bundy's day after Wade Miley was taken out in the first inning Friday because he was struck by two comebackers. Since Kevin Gausman was ejected in the second inning Wednesday, the Orioles have needed their bullpen to cover 18 1/3 innings. The club could use at least seven innings from Bundy, which isn't at all far fetched since he has pitched that deep three times in six starts.
2. Schoopless. After starting 190 consecutive games, second baseman Jonathan Schoop is out of the lineup tonight one game after being hit in the arm by a pitch. Schoop's streak was the second-longest active streak in baseball. Schoop has arguably been the Orioles' best hitter with a team-best .850 OPS, six doubles, five homers and 17 RBIs. Ryan Flaherty will play second tonight.
3. Back end of 'pen. With Zach Britton headed back to the shelf, it will be interesting to see how Brad Brach, Darren O'Day, Mychal Givens and others are aligned to close out games for the foreseeable future, beginning tonight.
