Orioles on deck: What to watch Saturday vs. Rays

Orioles (39-40) vs. Rays (42-40)

Where: Camden Yards

First pitch: 4:05 p.m.

TV/Radio: MASN/105.7 FM

Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Dylan Bundy (8-6, 3.73 ERA) vs. Rays RHP Jake Odorizzi (4-3, 4.00 ERA)

What to watch

1. Response time. The Orioles were one strike away from a series-opening win Friday, and went on to lose 6-4 in 10 innings. How will they respond? They've won four of their past six games since falling three games under .500. A quick recovery could be big to keep the momentum going forward.

2. Bundy Day. Exactly one week ago, Dylan Bundy took it upon himself to end the Orioles' string of woeful pitching, holding these Rays to three runs in seven innings. It also was a return to form for Bundy after a couple of rough outings. Can he do it again?

3. Leadoff Rickard. After two straight two-hit performances, Joey Rickard is elevated to the leadoff spot today. Rickard drove in the Orioles' first two runs Friday night and provided two memorable defensive plays in the fifth inning. Can he add that same spark from the top of the order?
