What to watch

1. View from the top. Adam Jones hadn't batted leadoff in six years before Friday night, when he singled in his first at-bat, finished with three hits and generally acted as the catalyst for an offense that had been struggling. He's leading off again today, can he continue to energize the lineup?

2. Three strikes. After pitching reasonably well over his first six starts, Orioles right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez has been awful in his past three. He is 0-2 with a 9.60 ERA over that stretch, allowing 22 hits and 11 walks in just 15 innings. Can he return to his early-season form?

3. Plate discipline After setting a major league record by striking out 52 times in their three-game series against the Houston Astros, the Orioles had just six whiffs on Friday, finishing with 13 hits in a 6-4 win. Can they continue to lay off of breaking balls in the dirt?
