Orioles on deck: What to watch Saturday afternoon at Blue Jays

Orioles (36-24) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (33-30)

Where: Rogers Centre

First pitch: 1:07 p.m.

TV/Radio: MASN2, WJZ/105.7 The Fan

Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Mike Wright (3-3, 5.14 ERA) vs. Blue Jays LHP J.A. Happ (6-3, 3.57 ERA)

What to watch

1. Wright not wrong. Mike Wright was motivated his last start, as he had been demoted the week before and was recalled only because of an injury to Darren O'Day. He knew his chances to stay in the majors were slim if he didn't pitch well, and he came through with not only his best start of the year but his best since the first two of his career. He allowed one unearned run in 7 1/3 innings in a win over the Kansas City Royals. Can he do it again in Toronto despite a 7.11 ERA in four games against the Blue Jays?

2. It's getting hot in herre. After hitting two homers in 24 games, Chris Davis has cleared the fence in each of his past three. Even though he has 14 home runs this season, it marks the first time he has hit them in back-to-back games this year. Is this the start of the Davis hot streak the Orioles have been waiting for?

3. Rogers that. The Orioles have lost three of four games at Rogers Centre with Friday night's defeat after dropping six of seven there from late 2014 to early 2015. Maybe it's the odd conditions. Maybe it's that fastball-feasting Blue Jays lineup. Can the Birds snap out of it and continue their winning ways at the building formerly known as the Skydome?
