What to watch
1. Playing for first. The Orioles enter this four-game series (and 10-game homestand) one game back of the Red Sox. If they win today, they'll be percentage points ahead in the AL East. Either Baltimore and Boston has controlled the division since Opening Day, but Toronto enters the week just 3.5 games back of the lead.
2. We're going streaking. Matt Wieters has hit safely in his last nine games and last 12 starts. But grabbing more attention nationally are the Sox's streakers. Outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. just snapped a 29-game hit streak while shortstop Xander Bogaerts is still working on a 21-gamer.
3. Wright's stuff. Steven Wright snuck into the Red Sox's rotation for lack of other options, but the late-blooming kunckleballer has been the team's most consistent starter this year. Eight of his nine outings have been quality starts, despite featuring an average fastball velocity of 83 miles per hour. The Orioles have struggled considerably against soft tossers.
