What to watch

1. On the road again. The Orioles start a week on the road by facing the struggling Rays, losers of four in a row to let the Royals draw even with them for the second wild card. The Orioles come in just 3 1/2 games back with a real opportunity to gain some ground, but they'll have to start playing well away from home. They're just 17-30 on the road this season.

2. Schoop streak. Keep watching, because this one's impressive. Jonathan Schoop has driven in at least one run in seven straight games, during which time he has 16 RBIs. That has pushed the All-Star second baseman to third in the American League with 70 RBIs. The Orioles need more of the same, especially with Chris Davis out of the lineup tonight. Can Schoop make it eight in a row against the Rays?

3. More quality. Kevin Gausman provided one of his best starts of the season five days ago, striking out eight while allowing one run on four hits in six innings. It's again worth watching to see if that can spark a real improvement for the righty, or if he'll go back to struggling.
