What to watch
1. Seeking consistency: The Orioles offense might have scored 13 runs with six homers Thursday, but now the challenge is to continue to produce at a high level rather than make it a one-night outburst. Hitting coach Scott Coolbaugh hasn't been satisfied with the Orioles' live and die by the home run approach, of late. Can the Orioles begin to find a groove against the Astros?
2. Seeking first win: Wade Miley enters his fourth Orioles start seeking his first win with his new club. He has been uneven since coming over the day before the nonwaiver trade deadline. He has a 7.04 ERA with the Orioles, with two rough outings sandwiching a quality start. Miley had a 2.84 ERA in two starts against the Astros while pitching for the Seattle Mariners. Will he get the best of them again?
3. Crush Davis: Whether the Orioles need one of Chris Davis' hallmark hot streaks is up for debate. But he just might be starting one. Davis has hit three homers in his past two games and five in his past 11. He's hitting just .270 over his past 11 games with the five solo blasts accounting for half of his hits during that time. But is this the start of a longer streak for the Orioles slugger?
