Where: Kauffman Stadium

First pitch: 8:15 p.m.

What to watch

1. Manny watch. Manny Machado has hits in each of the Orioles' 14 games this season to match the longest hitting streak of his career. Another base hit tonight and he sets a new personal best. Will the hot-hitting Machado (.407/.462/.780) extend his streak against the Royals?

2. Go long. Dating to his final 17 starts of 2015, Yovani Gallardo has pitched six innings or fewer in 20 straight outings. He made it through six for the first time as an Oriole his last time out before running out of gas in the seventh. After a solid six-inning start from Chris Tillman on Thursday, can Gallardo make it two straight longer outings for Orioles starters?

3. Road worriers. The Orioles are 7-1 at home, but just 3-3 on the road so far this season. Embarking on a six-game trip against the Royals and Tampa Bay Rays, can the Orioles continue what they started to translate consecutive wins over the Blue Jays into some road success?
