Orioles on deck: What to watch Friday at Rangers

Orioles (7-2) vs. Rangers (6-5)

Where: Globe Life Park in Arlington

First pitch: 8:05 p.m.

TV/Radio: MASN2/105.7 The Fan

Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Vance Worley (0-0, 3.86 ERA) vs. Rangers LHP Martin Perez (0-1, 3.65 ERA)

What to watch

1. Three's a crowd. The Orioles have suffered their first two losses of the season consecutively, with starting pitching being the main culprit in each defeat. Can they get a solid outing from Vance Worley and return to the win column?

2. Back to work. Adam Jones returned to the starting lineup Thursday. His rib cage strain didn't affect his ability to field, but the concern is about his swing. Jones went 0-for-4 in his first start since the second game of the season. Is he truly over the ailment and will he be able to find his form at the plate?

3. Rickard watch. Joey Rickard has at least a hit in eight of nine games after going without a knock in the finale at Fenway Park and doubling in Texas. Despite going 2-for-14 over his past three games, he's still batting .306. Can the rookie outfielder heat back up over the weekend?
