Orioles on deck: What to watch Friday at Blue Jays

Orioles (6-2) vs. Blue Jays (1-8)

Where: Rogers Centre

First pitch: 7:07 p.m.

TV/Radio: MASN2/105.7 FM

Starting pitchers: Orioles LHP Wade Miley (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. Blue Jays RHP Aaron Sanchez (0-0, 1.29 ERA)

What to watch

1. Control yourself. After a strange season debut, Wade Miley is back on the mound looking to show a little more control than he did Sunday. Miley allowed no runs on one hit while striking out five in five innings ... but he walked seven. Will he fare better against the Blue Jays, who beat him twice last year?

2. Kim day. It seemed the Orioles had moved past the point of Hyun Soo Kim only making rare appearances in the lineup, but he is making just his fourth start in nine games. And he had three hits in his last game, on Saturday against the New York Yankees. Will this be the start of Kim getting back to regular playing time?

3. Sanchez stymies. Last season, Aaron Sanchez broke out to go 15-2 with a 3.00 ERA in his first season as a full-time starter for the Blue Jays. Along the way, he went 4-0 with a 3.00 ERA in five starts against the Orioles. Can the Birds break through to beat Sanchez for the first time since 2015?
