Orioles on deck: What to watch Friday at Blue Jays

Orioles (36-23) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (32-30)

Where: Rogers Centre

First pitch: 7:07 p.m.

TV/Radio: MASN2/105.7 The Fan

Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Kevin Gausman (0-3, 3.52 ERA) vs. Blue Jays RHP Marco Estrada (4-2, 2.41 ERA)

What to watch

1. Give 'em the Gaus. Kevin Gausman had allowed at least four runs in three of four starts before holding the New York Yankees to one run in six innings in his most recent outing. Gausman has had success against the Blue Jays in his career with a 3.03 ERA in nine appearances (four starts). Will he be able to continue that and show he's back on track in Toronto?

2. Marco polo. Marco Estrada, tonight's starter, is having an exceptional season for the Blue Jays. He leads the American League in opponents' batting average (.167), is second in WHIP (0.98) and fourth in ERA (2.41). And of late, he has been at his best, pitching eight innings in three of his past four starts and lasting seven in the other one. He's 3-0 with a 1.74 ERA during that stretch. Can the Birds' bats stay hot against Estrada?

3. Six spot. With a win tonight, the streaky Orioles will have strung together six straight victories for the third time this season. It would mark the first time since 1999 that the Orioles have had three winning streaks of at least six games in the same season, and they're just a little more than a third of the way through the year. Will the Orioles keep their streak going tonight?
