SARASOTA, FLA. — The Orioles play host to the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday at Ed Smith Stadium.
Left-hander Wei-Yin Chen will make his fifth start of spring training. His last outing came in a minor league game against the Boston Red Sox's high Class-A team. Chen went five innings, allowing one run on two hits with three strikeouts and one walk.
In three Grapefruit League starts, he's allowed two runs over nine hits and over 8 1/3 innings.
Left-hander Brian Matusz, who has been the topic of trade speculation, is scheduled to pitch Wednesday out of the bullpen. His past two outings were starts. He's allowed just one run over 10 1/3 spring innings.
David Lough, who was scratched from Tuesday's game with back spasms, isn't in Wednesday's starting lineup and isn't listed among the available reserves.
