Orioles CF Adam Jones to hold benefit tailgate before Ravens game

Orioles center fielder Adam Jones was one of the Ravens' most famous fans during their Super Bowl win last season and now Jones is planning to hold his own benefit pregame tailgate in Baltimore.

Jones announced he is hosting the first Adam Jones #StayHungry Purple Tailgate on Nov. 10 at 8:30 a.m. before the Ravens' home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He announced the event on his Twitter and Instagram accounts this afternoon.

Proceeds of the event will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore. Tickets will start at $40. More details about the event will come on Monday.

In June, Jones partnered with the Orioles to donate $75,000 to the Brooklyn O'Malley Boys and Girls Club to renovated and expand a Technology and Learning Center there.

Jones has been nominated for the annual Roberto Clemente Award for his work in the community. The winner of the award will be announced during the World Series.
