There was a lot of media buzz in the Orioles clubhouse this afternoon that Deion Sanders, former NFL and MLB player and NFL Network analyst, is here and will take batting practice. But we're all baseball here – so the big news is that outfielder Bill Hall has been brought up from Sarasota, Fla.He was activated when the Orioles placed lefty Randy Wolf on the 60-day disabled list with a tear in the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow.“I was in Sarasota [working out] for a week and they called me and said there was a possibility we might need you,” Hall said. “So I’m here. I’m not sure if I am going to be active, so we’ll see.”Lew Ford is dealing with a groin issue, so the Orioles could use another right-handed hitting outfielder. And yes Hall could be added to the playoff roster if that became an option because he was in the organization on Sept. 1.Hall, 32, hit .222 with a .500 on-base percentage in 14 plate appearances through seven games. He played in seven games for the Orioles from May 12 to June 1.He hit .246 with a .300 on-base percentage and 15 homers in 90 games with Triple-A Norfolk this year."This team is in a playoff run," Hall said. "This is obviously going to be fun, especially the last week. I'm an able body if they need me to do whatever they need me to do. I want to help get this team into the playoffs."
