The Orioles have announced their schedule for Friday's home opener at Camden Yards.
The most pertinent information is that the gates open to the public at noon for the 3:05 p.m. first pitch against the Toronto Blue Jays.
As part of enhanced MLB security rules, fans will have to pass through magnetometers or hand-held metal detectors as they enter the stadium. Fans will be asked to remove their keys and mobile phone from their pockets.
Wallets and other identification or money holders can remain in their pocket or handbags. Bags that do not meet size requirements will not be allowed into the ballpark. Fans without a bag can utilize one of several Express Lanes found at Gates A, C, F, or H to go through security.
J.J. Hardy and Adam Jones will receive their 2014 Gold Glove Awards in a pregame ceremony.
Richard Troxell, of Thurmont, will sing the "Star Spangled Banner" and the Canadian national anthem.
The Orioles have added several new menu items including gourmet soft tacos and churros. And although there will no longer be a Stuggy's stand, a version of the popular Crab Mac N' Cheese Dog will be offered at the Esskay gourmet hot dog stand.
