Following Chris Davis' 37th homer on Sunday in the Orioles' final game before the All-Star break, online sportsbook Bovada now has the first baseman listed as the betting favorite for tonight's Home Run Derby.
Bovada currently gives Davis 11-to-4 odds of winning the Derby. Previous favorite and reigning champion Prince Fielder now owns 15-to-4 odds.
When Bovada first released its Derby odds, Davis had 15-to-4 odds of winning, just behind Fielder (7-to-2 odds).
"Since Chris Davis hit his 37thhome run last night, we have been seeing increased action on him overnight and throughout the fay and have now made him the favorite to win the Derby tonight at 11-to-4," Bovada sportsbook manager Kevin Bradley said in a news release. "Defending champ Prince Fielder comes next at 15-to-4 in terms of money being put down while Michael Cuddyer has drifted to 12-to-1 and we cannot write a bet on him."
Here are Bovada's complete derby odds:
Chris Davis 11/4
Prince Fielder 15/4
Yoenis Cespedes 11/2
Bryce Harper 11/2
Pedro Alvarez 11/2
