Norfolk Tides' players to don SpongeBob jerseys

Harbor Park, the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate Norfolk Tides' home stadium, will transform into Bikini Bottom tonight for SpongeBob SquarePants Night. The Tides players will be clad in yellow SpongeBob jerseys with the Nickelodeon character's face sprawled across the front.

There will be a costumed SpongeBob and Patrick roaming the concourse and stands, SpongeBob themed music and video clips throughout the night along with trivia. And a fireworks show will cap the throwback night to the cartoon series that started in 1999.

The SpongeBob jerseys the players don will be auctioned off during the game and awarded to the winning fans after the final out of the 7:05 p.m. contest against the Indianapolis Indians.

There was no mention of Krabby Patties being sold at concessions (if they are, be sure to get the secret formula), but regardless, it's sure to be a fun night at the minor-league park for the kids.
