Miguel Gonzalez leaves game Tuesday with groin strain

Starting pitcher Miguel Gonzalez #50 of the Baltimore Orioles throws a pitch to a Boston Red Sox batter in the first inning during a baseball game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on June 9, 2015 in Baltimore, Maryland. Gonzalez left the game in the fifth inning with an injury.

Already a man short in the bullpen with reliever Brian Matusz suspended this week, the Orioles pitching staff took another hit Tuesday when starter Miguel Gonzalez was lifted due to injury in the fifth inning.

Gonzalez was carrying a shutout into the fifth, having allowed four hits and two walks while striking out one. The team announced he had a right groin strain. Gonzalez did not appear to be favoring the area when he left the game.
