Maryland is a five-point underdog heading into Saturday's game at Michigan, according to several betting lines on ESPN.com.
After losing four of their first six games, the Wolverines (5-5, 3-3 Big Ten) have won three of their last four, including two in a row, and have the advantage of coming off of a bye week.
Michigan is last in the Big Ten in total offense and has scored an average of just 12.4 points in its last seven games against teams other than Miami (Ohio) or Indiana. However, the Wolverines are third in the conference in total defense and are limiting opposing teams to an average of 2.8 yards per carry.
The Wolverines had five sacks and allowed just 37 yards on 19 carries to Northwestern's running backs during a 10-9 win over the Wildcats in the game leading up to Michigan's bye week.
Maryland (6-4, 3-3) lost, 37-15, to Michigan State on Saturday. The game between the Terps and the Wolverines is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
