Maryland linebacker Cole Farrand has been invited to the Ravens' local prospect day on Tuesday, according to sources.
The Ravens have also invited Terps linebackers Matt Robinson, Yannick Cudjoe-Virgil and wide receiver Deon Long.
Farrand is a 6-foot-3, 245-pound All-Big Ten honorable-mention selection who had 283 tackles, 15.5 for losses, in his career. That included 118 tackles last season, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
Farrand had 19 tackles against Indiana and was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. He had 17 tackles against eventual national champion Ohio State and 18 against Michigan State.
As a junior, Farrand was an honorable-mention All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection.
He played in the East-West Shrine all-star game after this season and was a three-time all-conference academic selection.
During the Terps' pro day workout, Farrand ran the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds. He also had a 4.21 short shuttle, a 6.96 three-cone drill, a 35.5-inch vertical leap and a 10-1 broad jump.
