Kansas City Royals might not change roster for ALCS matchup vs. Orioles

Yordano Ventura
(Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It's possible that the Kansas City Royals will go into the American League Championship Series against the Orioles with the same 25-man roster, including 11 pitchers, they used to sweep the Los Angeles Angels in the Division Series.

And it appears likely that Kansas City rookie right-hander Yordano Ventura will be the Game 2 starter Saturday after right-hander James Shields pitches in Game 1.

"We're pretty set with Ventura in the second game," Royals manager Ned Yost said.
