The Orioles lineup is out for Friday night's game against the Tampa Bay Rays and Adam Jones is starting in center field.
No surprise there; Jones absolutely hates to sit. And even after appearing to roll his left ankle on a slide at home in the third inning of Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader, he remained in the game.
So it would have had to be a major issue for Jones not to be in the lineup Friday.
Steve Pearce is taking a seat and David Lough is getting the start in left field against right-hander Nathan Karns.
The rest of the lineup looks pretty familiar.
By the way, we have not been told of a roster move yet, but we are expecting a fresh arm to come up for the bullpen. One possibility is to option Oliver Drake to Triple-A Norfolk.
One possibility to come up is left-hander Cesar Cabral. I guess we'll see soon enough.
