Prediction Friday: Ravens-Browns and the Orioles' DH

Thank you for supporting our journalism. This article is available exclusively for our subscribers, who help fund our work at The Baltimore Sun.

We have made it to Christmas week, and I've made it to a few days off to be with the family.

But that doesn't mean we are going to shut down the bar completely – not with two weeks left in the NFL season and an empty tip jar just sitting here.

I was unfortunately correct last week that the Ravens were going to lose in San Diego -- had no idea it would be a 34-14 blowout, though.

Our Prediction Friday winner was Ceacho, who called an eerily close 31-13 Chargers' victory. Head to Vegas Ceacho, but not before you get your free (and incredibly fake) drink tab at Connolly's.

(Incidentally, one of the strangest names to enter this dive, 18-87-44-29, had the Chargers winning 27-13, so a free drink chip is thrown your way for being close. You need to play Lotto.)

The Ravens will have it a lot easier this week in their attempt to go 8-0 at home. I say the Ravens win, 31-10, against the Browns. The Ravens keep handing off to No. 27, and Ray Rice runs for three scores to be player of the game.

It's your turn to share your Ravens wisdom before it is too late. Give me the winner, score and player of the game.

Now, to the Orioles. Luke Scott was nontendered last week and is a free agent. The Orioles would like him back but at a reduced cost. He'd like to come back -- but not at majorly reduced cost, and there are plenty of teams kicking his tires (and studying his surgically repaired shoulder). Vladimir Guerrero is also a free agent and won't be back.

So who will log the most games at DH for the Orioles next season? Mark Reynolds doesn't like to do it -- says he feels out of sync when he's not in the field. Chris Davis could spend some time there if the Orioles find an alternative at third base. Nolan Reimold could get some starts at DH, too.  And the Orioles could always fill that hole through free agency or a trade.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter said he'd prefer not to have a DH-only player like last year with Guerrero. But surely someone will end up making the most starts there.

So who will that be?
