KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- I woke up this morning to some clouds in Kansas City, but they've since gone away.
So here is the good news: There are now blue skies here, and it is expected to stay that way. Unless things change dramatically, there will be a Game 3 of the American League Championship Series at Kauffman Stadium tonight after a rainout Monday.
Now for the bad news: It won't be played in optimum baseball conditions. It's expected to be windy and cold. The local TV weatherwoman just said 53 degrees is the expected temperature at first pitch. And it will drop from there. And the fierce wind should continue. The flags around here are in a steady wave. But there is no rain in the forecast.
Tonight should be the chilliest of the three games to be played here (including Game 5, if necessary). The other two will start a few minutes after 4 p.m. ET.
Bottom line is you will have baseball tonight. But the crowd will be bundled up.
