Singer/songwriter Jenae Cherry released the title track from her album, “Around,” on iTunes on Tuesday, and her biggest fan couldn’t have been more psyched.

“It’s awesome,” said Cherry’s husband, Orioles reliever Brad Brach. “She has been excited. She downplays it a little bit.”

Cherry, whose music can be characterized as pop country, moved to Nashville six years ago from Illinois and has been pursuing her dream since. She released an EP roughly a year ago and has been selling it at live performances and on her website. But Tuesday marked the first time a song from it was available internationally.

There were some tense moments as they waited for the song’s release, Brach said. When the couple married in November 2013, she legally changed her last name to Brach, but kept Jenae Cherry as her stage and band name. And that apparently caused some confusion/legal entanglements as the iTunes process was occurring — to the point where she didn’t know if the song would actually be released Tuesday.

“Last night around midnight, she’s like, ‘My single is online. You can get it there now,’” Brach said. “She was kind of nervous the past couple of days, because she was telling everybody it was coming out.”
