Orioles season-ticket information to be sent in early February; price hike is possible

The Orioles are slated to send their season-ticket information to plan holders early next month, but there's still no word on whether prices will rise for 2015.

In an email sent this week, the team told season-ticket holders they will receive plan information by email Feb. 2. The team also is going to an online process with its season-plan statements, but fans still can pay by phone, mail or in person.

Given the delay in ticket information — the Orioles sent plan details to season-ticket holders for the 2014 season in early December 2013 — it is believed the club still has not decided whether to increase prices. Considering the Orioles are coming off an American League East title and have posted three straight winnings seasons, a price hike is a possibility.

Last year, the Orioles raised season-ticket prices on all plans by an average of approximately 5 percent. It was their first increase since 2008.

Also, single-game tickets for the 2015 season will not be available for purchase at the annual FanFest event Jan. 31, as has been the case in previous years. The team instead will announce at a later date when single-game tickets will go on sale.
