Left fielder Alejandro De Aza and second baseman Ryan Flaherty are out of the Orioles starting lineup for Thursday night's series finale at the Rodgers Centre.

David Lough will be starting in left and batting leadoff, while Jimmy Paredes will start at second and bat in the No. 2 spot.

De Aza batted leadoff in 11 of the Orioles' 15 games this season. He is hitless in his past 15 at-bats and just 2-for-23 over his past six games. He was thrown out attempting to steal third base in the seventh inning of the Orioles 4-2 loss on Wednesday.

As for Flaherty, he was slow to get up after sliding into second base on Delmon Young's pinch-hit double play ball that was the final play of the game Wednesday night.

Primarily a third baseman and occasional corner outfielder, Paredes hasn't made a start at second base since Aug. 1, 2013. Since coming off the disabled list this weekend, he had made all four of his starts at designated hitter.
