Adam Jones back in Orioles lineup, but shifted to DH for series opener in Toronto

After missing the last three games, Adam Jones is back in the Orioles lineup, batting third.

But after Jones took batting practice, the Orioles made a lineup change, taking Jones out of center field and placing him in the designated hitter spot.

Manager Buck Showalter said he believed Jones was close to being able to return to center field. But after BP, he ultimately decided that Jones would be best served DHing tonight.

Jones banged his shoulder diving for a ball Monday, prompting him to miss the next three games. An MRI on Jones’ shoulder came back clean.
