35 years ago, Brooks Robinson learned he would be inducted into Cooperstown

On Jan. 12, 1983, Orioles third baseman Brooks Robinson was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame on his first try, receiving 92 percent of the votes. He was inducted on July 31, 1983, becoming the second Oriole in Cooperstown (Frank Robinson was inducted the previous year).
