DECEMBER 16, 2018 -- Paralympian Tatyana McFadden makes a surprise presentation to the Bennett Blazers coaches, Gerry and Gwena Herman, honoring them with the Order of Ikkos Medal. Created in 2008 by the U.S. Olympic Committee, the Order of Ikkos Medal symbolizes excellence in coaching and allows Olympic and Paralympic athletes to acknowledge a coach for their leadership in achieving world-class success. McFadden, a Paralympian wheelchair racer, started training with the Bennett Blazers when she was six and competed in her first Paralympics at 15, the youngest member of the U.S. Paralympics team.
