The Kansas City Chiefs took Clemson linebacker Dorian O'Daniel of Olney with the No. 100 overall pick in the NFL draft Friday night.
The former Good Counsel standout earned second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors last season after leading the Tigers with 103 tackles, including 11.5 for loss and five sacks. A finalist for the Butkus Award, given annually to the country's top linebacker, he also tied for first in Clemson history in special teams tackles (47) and second in games.
At 6 feet 1, 223 pounds, O'Daniel is small for an outside linebacker but has good lateral agility and is a versatile defender.
