Rudy Gay, an Archbiship Spalding graduate who has gone on to a 10-year NBA career, could miss the rest of the season with a suspected torn left Achilles tendon.
Gay, Sacramento's second-leading scorer, fell to the floor while driving to the basket in the third quarter and was carried off the court.
Before the injury, Gay, had scored 21 points against the Indiana Pacers, who won the game, 106-100.
Gay, 30, will be evaluated Thursday.
He has played for the Memphis Grizzlies, Toronto Raptors and the Kings.
