No. 2 Maryland (2-0)

Coming up: At High Point, Saturday, 1 p.m.; Vs. Penn, Wednesday, 5 p.m., Maryland Stadium

Comment: The Terps are 2-0 against the Panthers and 12-0 against the Quakers. Junior defenseman Curtis Corley was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after he limited Navy senior attackman Jack Ray to one goal on four shots and zero assists in Saturday’s 10-4 win.

No. 8 Johns Hopkins (1-0)

Coming up: At No. 12 Loyola Maryland, Saturday, 1 p.m.

Comment: The Blue Jays have won 48 of 54 games in this series. Senior midfielder Patrick Fraser’s extra-man goal in Saturday’s 14-6 rout of then-No. 14 Towson was the 27th man-up goal of his career, the most of any active player in Division I.

No. 12 Loyola Maryland (0-1)

Coming up: Vs. No. 8 Johns Hopkins, Saturday, 1 p.m., Ridley Athletic Complex

Comment: The Greyhounds have split the past four meetings with the Blue Jays. After scoring only one goal in his first three seasons, senior faceoff specialist Mike Orefice scored three times in Saturday’s 13-12 double-overtime loss at then-No. 15 Virginia.

No. 19 Towson (0-1)

Coming up: Vs. Mount St. Mary’s, Saturday, noon, Johnny Unitas Stadium

Comment: The Tigers own a 12-1 record against the Mountaineers. Redshirt senior midfielder Jean-Luc Chetner’s goal against Johns Hopkins was his first since May 7, 2016, when he played for Richmond.

Mount St. Mary’s (0-1)

Coming up: At No. 19 Towson, Saturday, noon; At Richmond, Tuesday, 4 p.m.

Comment: The Mountaineers have not beaten the Tigers since March 26, 1975, and that win occurred because of a forfeit. Redshirt sophomore defenseman Zach Roberts’ goal in Saturday’s 16-12 loss at Delaware was the team’s first by a long pole since redshirt senior Kevin Verkler’s goal against Wagner on April 23, 2016.

Navy (0-2)

Coming up: Vs. UMBC, Saturday, 1:30 p.m., Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium

Comment: The Midshipmen have won 22 of 26 games in this series, which will resume for the first time since 2003. Senior faceoff specialist Joe Varello has won 101 draws in his career, becoming the 15th player in program history to reach the century mark.

UMBC (1-0)

Coming up: At Navy, Saturday, 1:30 p.m.

Comment: The Retrievers defeated the Mids in Annapolis in 1999 and 2001. Freshman goalkeeper Tommy Lingner and freshman attackman Steven Zichelli (Severna Park) were named the America East Conference Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week.
