Laurel Park to run Friday, cancels Saturday and Sunday races

Laurel Park announced today that it will go ahead with its scheduled Friday afternoon program but has canceled live racing for both Saturday and Sunday because of an impending winter storm.

Laurel and Pimlico will be closed for simulcasting Saturday, but they are tentatively scheduled to open for simulcast wagering Sunday.

A weather system approaching the Baltimore-Washington area is expected to produce snow and blizzard conditions beginning late Friday.

Live racing will resume Monday, Jan. 25.
