Stan Salter's betting tips and analysis for Sunday's race card at Laurel Park:
Race 1, 1:25 p.m. post time
Selections: No. 5 La Bruna Forte, No. 6 Little Miss Lupe, No. 3 Alwaysacontest
La Bruna Forte's drop today for strong connections should be good enough to win this race.
Little Miss Lupe was third at this level the last two races and has a win going 7 furlongs. Alwaysacontest has won two of her last three and six times overall at Laurel Park.
Race 2, 1:57 p.m.
Selections: No. 6 Mademoiselle Belle, No. 10 Queenofzeenile, No. 8 Cracking Good Pins
Mademoiselle Belle is in top form right now for a barn with a 22 percent winning percentage on the year. Queenofzeenile drops from allowance races for strong connections. Cracking Good Pins is a five-time winner on the grass and should like this company.
Race 3, 2:29 p.m.
Selections: No. 9 Skiing in Russia, No. 11 Galroyale, No. 10 Pearl's Love
Skiing in Russia was a sharp second last time out and has controlling speed from the outside. Galroyale cuts back in distance today and the barn is 30 percent with that move. Pearl's Love has been close at this level the last three races.
Race 4, 3:02 p.m.
Selections: No. 3 Joe's Arch, No. 7 Dr. K'eogh, 4 Northern Justice
Joe's Arch will be helped today by drop, equipment change, surface change and 10-pound bug rider will help today. Dr. K'eogh improved on the drop last time out to finish second at this level. Northern Justice was fourth last time out at this level.
Race 5, 3:35 p.m.
Selections: No. 11 Move Over Honey, No. 9 Eleusis (GB), No. 12 Airlie's Diamond
Move Over Honey has been wide or has encountered traffic in her last three races. Eleusis' big drop from allowance company should wake her up today. Airlie's Diamond is a closing sprinter that should like the extra distance today.
Race 6, 4:08 p.m.
Selections: No. 8 Awake the Day, No. 9 Stormy Mistress, No. 2 Bioterp
Awake the Day has fired some big efforts against better. Stormy Mistress was a sharp coast to coast winner here last time out and is taking a step up today. Bioterp must navigate a clean trip from the inside to make her normal late rally.
Race 7, 4:41 p.m.
Selections: No. 1 Rollin Warrior, No. 4 Mr. October, No. 6 Conzee Hold
I like the work tab for Rollin Warrior, a first-timer from a win-early barn. Mr. October is a first-time gelding today and had a sharp bullet-work on Aug. 17. Conzee Hold has shown speed on the synthetic, but tries dirt for the first time today.
Race 8, 5:16 p.m.
Selections: No. 9 M C Squared, No. 3 He'll Pay, No. 4 Dannhauser
M C Squared is a three-time winner on the turf here who has dangerous early speed. He'll Pay is a promising 3-year-old who faces older horses for the first time today. Dannhauser is an old class horse who can get it done on memory alone for strong connections.
Race 9, 5:51 p.m.
Selections: No. 3 Struth, No. 6 Easy River, No. 1 Totally Drenched
Struth is in sharp form since the return and has finished second to monsters in last two races. Gets blinkers on for the first time today. Easy River was a sharp allowance winner on the dirt here back in March. Totally Drenched is trying to regain his top form from last year.
Race 10, 6:23 p.m.
Selections: No. 9 Saturday Sunshine, No. 6 Monte Man, No. 4 Tigers Bop
Saturday Sunshine's barn is 38 percent with a positive R.O.I. with second-time starters. It's a big drop for Monte Man, a New York shipper. Tigers Bop was second in last two races and his speed will put him in front early.
Best bet: Race 9, No. 3 Struth (9-5)
Day maker: Race 8, No. 9 M C Squared (10-1)
