Best bets and plays of the day for Friday's race card at Laurel Park

Stan Salter's best bet and price plays for Friday's race card at Laurel Park. First post time is 1:10 p.m.

Best bet: Race 4, No. 7 Never Stop Looking (2-1)

This classy 8-year-old is back in top form now for the meet's leading trainer Claudio Gonzalez.  He's an eight-time winner at this track, including his last two in a row, and it looks like he can get a perfect stalking trip from the outside with Katie Davis aboard. He's beaten some of his rivals in here before and looks to be in a good spot to keep his sharp form for strong connections, who have been teaming up for some nice wins so far this meet.

Price play: Race 7, No. 6 Joy Drive (9-2)

This is a nice upper-level allowance co-feature of the day and I love the price I'm getting on this colt trained by Linda Rice, who is currently winning at a 48 percent clip so far this meet. This 4-year-old son of Quality Road won last time out at this track and I think he'll get a similar trip stalking from the outside with top rider Horacio Karamanos riding.  The barn has excelled with 4-year-olds so far this meet, and I think this guy, who has a win, a second and two thirds from four starts at this track, will continue that trend today and we should be able to get a nice price on him.
